During the third year of my undergraduate studies, I studied abroad at the University of Oxford, Pembroke College in England. I previously worked as a research assistant at Columbia University, and as a summer intern at the Ministry of Economy in Ankara. I also worked as a journalist at Hurriyet Newspaper of Turkey, and have a publication that received a prize in fiction at New York Book Festival 2011. Being originally from Turkey and having completed my high school education in England I am especially interested in hearing from international students who would like to come to the United States for their undergraduate education.
